Overview

This online workshop on 'Getting Yourself Board Ready’ will be led by Carol Bolger, Chartered Director. This workshop is part of the IoD Essentials Workshop Series. 

In this workshop, Carol will cover the following topics: 

• Journey to becoming a director.
• Fundamentals of boards.
• Director effectiveness and best practice.
• Self-assessment - What’s right for you?
• Building your toolkit and personal roadmap.

Workshop material is prepared by the presenter and produced by the IoD wholly and exclusively for use by workshop participants. Please note that workshop material will be provided in soft copy to all participants.

Carol Bolger is a Chartered Director (CDir), a Certified Bank Director, and is the course leader on the Governance and Diploma Programme modules of the IoD Chartered Director Programme.  Carol is also an Assessor on the IoD’s Board Evaluation service. 

Carol is Chairperson of An Post and a Non-Executive Director of BCM Global ASI Ltd. She is Chairperson of Utexam Solutions Ltd, a subsidiary of BNP Paribas, and Chairperson of the Audit Committee of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. Carol is a former Corporate Banker and worked with Bank of Ireland and Ulster Bank. She is also a Fellow and former Council member of the Institute of Banking, where she held the position of Vice President.

• IoD members - €225 ex VAT
• Non-members - €275 ex VAT

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Places can only be confirmed on receipt of full payment. Cancellations and a full refund will be accepted if received in writing to training@iodireland.ie by 5pm on Thursday, 12th May 2022.  After this date, no refund will be possible, and all fees will be forfeited in the event of a cancellation or non-attendance.
