IoD Ireland has announced that Thora Mackey CDir, Chief Operating Officer, will be stepping down at the end of January 2023. During her time with the organisation Thora has been key to its significant growth. Thora has made an invaluable contribution to the development and growth of the IoD and all at IoD Ireland wish her well in her next endeavours.
Thora joined the IoD in June 2008 and also holds the roles of Head of the IoD’s Boardroom Centre and Company Secretary. She became a Chartered Director in 2020 and has held several directorships including on the boards of housing charity, Threshold, and more recently, Chapter Zero Ireland.
President of IoD Ireland, Imelda Reynolds CDir, commented:
“We wish Thora every happiness and success in her new endeavours and thank her for her significant contribution to the IoD. She is held in very high esteem by the many members, Council and colleagues who have known her over the past 14 and a half years.”
Chief Executive Officer of IoD Ireland Caroline Spillane CDir, noted:
“Thora has made an invaluable contribution to the development and growth of the IoD Ireland over the last 15 years. I would like to wish her all the best in her future endeavours.”
Commenting on the announcement Thora Mackey CDir said:
“It has been a great privilege and pleasure to work for the Institute over the years and to get to know so many exceptional people. I wish the Council and Caroline and her team every success as the IoD continues to go from strength to strength. Thank you all for your support during the past years.”
