    1. The firms selected for the IoD Legal Panel have been chosen for their strong reputation and expertise. However, by engaging with a member of the Legal panel, IoD members acknowledge that the Institute of Directors Ireland assumes no responsibility and accepts no liability for any advice received or the outcomes of such engagements.
    2. Should the panel member decide the nature of the query is beyond the scope of this free service, involves complex issues, or for whatever reason cannot be dealt with speedily, it will be at his/her discretion to advise the IoD member that such advice cannot be provided free. The IoD member should be offered the choice of establishing a fee-paying relationship with the firm in question in order to proceed. Alternatively, the IoD member should consult with another firm on the matter. 
    3. Notwithstanding the terms of this arrangement, each panel member shall be entitled to refuse to give any advice at his/her absolute discretion whether by reason of conflict of interest or otherwise. 
    4. The panel members acknowledge that once the member of the IoD contacts him or her, the IoD has no further involvement or responsibility in this matter. 
    5. The firms which have been chosen for the IoD Legal Panel have been chosen because of their reputation and skill, but in making contacts with members of the panel, members of the Institute of Directors acknowledge that the Institute of Directors accepts no responsibility, and has no liability, whatsoever for the consequences of such contact or for the advice given.
