Jonathan Moore Partner, Planning and Environmental, Fieldfisher
Jonathan advises public and private sector clients in planning and environmental law. His practice focuses on a broad range of Irish and EU law regulatory matters involving all aspects of planning and environmental assessment (including EIA, Habitats and Water Framework issues) for industrial, waste, housing, commercial, infrastructural and energy projects. This includes general compliance advice, strategic advice on anticipated legislative changes and litigation risk avoidance. He has significant judicial review experience in the Superior Courts and the CJEU, in particular cases involving EU planning/environmental law. He has been involved in challenges to consents for a gas pipeline, a number of large wind and solar farms, road developments, strategic housing developments, data centres, development plans, and marine developments. He has also acted in a number of injunction proceedings concerning unauthorised development and enforcement proceedings concerning unlicensed activities such as commercial peat extraction. He is an experienced and trained advocate, regularly representing clients in court and tribunal settings. His expertise also incorporates ESG, including advice on emissions-trading-scheme, avoiding greenwashing, non-financial reporting, greenhouse gas emissions targets, resource usage, waste management, sustainability governance, data protection & privacy issues, inclusivity & diversity, and health & safety. He has a degree in environmental science, including 5 years' experience as an environmental consultant, and therefore a wealth of experience in contaminated land and implications for groundwater and surface water receptors. He regularly advises corporate clients on due diligence and risk associated with mergers and acquisitions.

Lars' practice focuses on advising companies, their directors and shareholders in corporate and commercial law matters, with specific expertise in national and cross-border private equity, venture capital, buy-out/buy-in and real estate transactions, corporate restructurings, corporate governance, ESG (NFRD, CSRD, CSDDD, EUDR), director liability and negotiation of commercial agreements. He has experience as in-house group legal counsel of a technology company listed on Euronext Brussels.
