Managing Director, The Shed Distillery
Patrick J Rigney is the founder and owner of The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, the first distillery in Connacht in over 101 years and is the Curious Mind behind Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin and the remarkable cadre of ambitious brands which compete with the best the world has to offer.
For three decades, the drinks industry pioneer has been instrumental in establishing Irish drinks brands as global leaders, including the world’s number one selling liqueur brand – Baileys - during its formative years. As Executive Director, Rigney went on to invent the (then-revolutionary) twin-bottle Sheridan’s Irish Cream Liqueur and he became known across the industry as a creative entrepreneur with an unpredictable ‘maverick’ edge.
