The Chartered Director Programme in Ireland has two commencement points in each calendar year, January, and September. For more information, visit the Current Programme Dates and Programme Fees tabs below.
Place offers for the Chartered Director Programme are at the discretion of the IoD. The IoD retains overall discretion regarding the offer and/or the withdrawal of a place offer for the programme.

Please note that participants join the Programme as part of a cohort and complete the Programme with that cohort. Once having started that Programme, deferrals from one cohort to a later cohort are not permissible.
- The September 2024 programme will run to June 2025.
- The January 2025 programme will run to November 2025.

Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction Fees
The fees for the Chartered Director Programme (inclusive of both the Certificate and the Diploma in Company Direction) are:
- €15,250 for IoD Ireland members (for 2025 Programmes)
- €15,950 for non-members (for 2025 Programmes)
The Programme fee includes tuition, documentation, examination entry, plus tea/coffee and lunches on module days. A non-refundable deposit is required on booking a place. All Programme fees are payable in advance of the Programme commencement and a cancellation policy applies. Please note IoD Ireland membership costs €495 in the first year and just €395 each year thereafter and all applications are subject to approval by the IoD Council.

Becoming Chartered: The Professional Review Process Fee
Having earned both the Certificate and Diploma in Company Direction, Programme participants may progress (subject to eligibility criteria) to step four of the Chartered Director Programme and become a registered Chartered Director (CDir). Please note that this process encompasses an additional cost. The enrolment fee is £720 stg on a candidate's admission as a registered Chartered Director.

In addition to its flagship Chartered Director Programme*, which is mapped to the IoD Ireland CPD Framework for Directors, IoD Ireland has designed a suite of short programmes and workshops which are mapped to the specific competencies within the CPD Framework. This suite of programmes are agile in terms of learning objectives, content and delivery, designed to evolve with the economic, regulatory and business environment within which directors and boards operate.
* The learning outcomes of the IoD Chartered Director Programme are mapped against the IoD UK Competency Framework for Directors. The competencies within the IoD UK framework are fully reflected in the IoD Ireland Continuing Professional Development Framework for Directors.
